Roji August Newsletter
Posted: August 28th, 2011 | Author: sarah | Filed under: Artist, News, Teas, Work | No Comments »Hello everyone, this is Sarah from roji tea lounge.
We are so sorry for the lack of a newsletter, due to the opening of Montage we have been very preoccupied. We have not forgotten you all though.
What’s new with roji? We have two new bubble tea flavors! Mugi-Cha (barely) which tastes like coffee but is completely caffeine free! The very popular Watermelon bubble tea is still here, and due to the high demand it may stay on our menu. Along with our bubbles, as a summer special we are featuring little bubbles–tiny and yummy!
2011 Tea Safety: Due to the earthquake, there may be a concern about about safety of our teas. According to the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, testing was done on our suppliers tea leaves and all were found very safe to drink.
The Syracuse Japanese Meetup is meeting this Thursday at the Redhouse for a Kimono & Fans Artist Talk where: “Large scale Kimonos made out of various papers and fabric are suspended throughout the space to create a stunningly tactile and visual experience.” It starts at 5:00 p.m.–don’t forget to stop at Montage (right next door to the Redhouse) for a dessert or coffee!
We will be starting a Fan Photo Facebook Contest. If you take a picture at Roji (whether you’re drinking a cup of tea or enjoying a parfait) once a month we will pick the best fan photo to win 10% off their next roji visit. A photo I.D. will be required as proof of being the winner
The first contest will begin in September, the guidelines of submission and starting date will be announced on Facebook soon!
