Since 1990, the Green Restaurant Association has led the Green Restaurant® movement. As trailblazers in this arena, we are proud to share the knowledge, statistics, and hard facts that have been gathered and tested along the way.

roji tea lounge is now a Certified Green Restaurant™, becoming the first restaurant in Central New York to meet this environmental mark. Leading the eco-friendly charge, roji tea lounge achieved certification of green status upon implementation of environmentally-friendly practices in accordance with the Green Restaurant Association’s rigorous guidelines.
As part of the initial certification phase, we took four steps in an effort to reduce its environmental footprint and increase sustainable practices including
- Biodegradable Disposables: Hot cups and Cold cups
- Recycled & Chlorine-Free Disposables: Napkins and Toilet Tissue
- Biodegradable Disposables: Cutlery and Straws
- Biodegradable Disposables: Take-out Containers and T-shirt Bags
Roji tea lounge will continue to meet the marks provided by the Association by implementing four new environmental steps per year.
